Owls - Eagle Owl
Selected photographs of one of the Eagle Owls that resides at Falconcrest. This owl is called 'Bubo' and prefers to watch what is happening in the park from a short distance. She loves her handlers, but strangers should steer clear of her, she tends to hiss and puff at strangers.

People often mistake the horns as ears, but this is not so.
Owls have excellent eyesight. Owls with dark coloured eyes hunt during the night. Owls with light colour eyes hunt during dawn and dusk.
